What is e-coating?
E-coating is an epoxy polymer coating applied to the complete coil with an electro-deposition process.
What are the benefits of e-coating?
Longevity.
E-coating your coils extends their lifespan and protects them against the damaging effects of a corrosion environment, think Natatoriums or coastal saltwater environment. The coating offered by AAON is capable of withstanding 10,000 hours of salt spray per ASTM B117-90 yet is only 0.8-1.2 mils thick and has excellent flexibility. Coating includes a 5-year warranty, from the date of original equipment shipment from the factory. Instructions for coil cleaning, maintenance, and recording keeping must be followed. AAON offers polymer e-coating for both condenser and evaporator coils. Stainless steel coil casings and copper fin coils may also be available for some unit and coil configurations.
