Job Summary: The Production Scheduler/Planner will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of material and information for AAON through its Longview, TX, facility. This will be accomplished by establishing an accurate production schedule taking into account material, manufacturing, engineering and customer requirements. Essential Responsibilities: • Create, maintain, and ensure the execution of the production schedule in order to exceed customer expectations. • Process the timely release of work orders to support customer demand. • Review capacity of plant to ensure that the posted lead time is being met. • Monitor and adjust the production plan as conditions in manufacturing processes, demand streams, or the supply chain change. • Alert necessary team members when an unresolved capacity or material constraint will affect our ability to meet a customer’s scheduled delivery date. • Participate in production meetings. • Function as the focal point for the plant, coordinating scheduling and planning activities amongst the Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Engineering teams. • Monitor, analyze, and report performance to the schedule of production activities, utilizing information obtained from the inventory and production control system. • Drive continuous improvement efforts in customer on-time delivery efforts. • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to assure the production schedule with within production capabilities. • Create production packets and validate data for accuracy and completion before delivering to ship floor.
